Maybe do a few airsoft wars, nothing major.
I do want something that is accurate, a good scope, and a decent gun that will not break down.

The UTG AWP Rifle is real good. I used to have one before i went to college. Shoots around 500 ft/sec.
The Super 9 rifles are terribly made.
The MB03 is decent but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Now, the JG BAR 10 is one of the best quality bolt actions on the market. You aren’t getting quality cheaper, it’s completely upgradable, light, slim profile, and has great external quality.
DO NOT SHOOT SQUIRRELS WITH AN AIRSOFT GUN.
Got it? You won’t do anything but maim or injure them, and cause them to starve. If you want to shoot small game, get an air rifle. They can actually give small animals a quick, humane death.
I have had my UTG L96 for about half a year and it’s amazing. It’s fairly cheap for about $130 but does not come with a scope, and since your max is 140 thats kind of a downside. I’ve had probably over 36 hours worth of wars with this sniper and it is awesome. Incredibly accurate w/ scope up to about 100-150yds for a chest sized target. In my last airsoft war which lasted about 15 hrs inconsistently, I didn’t get hit once and I got 7 kills that I know of for sure and assisted my friend in keeping 3 enemies at bay in a 2 sided haybarn for 30 minutes from about 100yards away.
This gun is also very quiet, my friend commented several times that it sounded like a co2 sniper. This gun comes with 2 23rd mags, and had a rail to mount scopes, and shoots at about 500fps. If you can, I’d suggest this (In mauser or UTG/Leapers) or a BAR-10, is pretty good two and for about the same price.
If you’re only willing to spend $140, I wouldn’t go with a sniper rifle. The kind of gun you want to get is an electric one that shoots full-auto w/ .2 bbs, and that shoots between 300 and 400 fps (the lowest fps i would go for would be around 260).
The best place to buy airsoft guns is airsoftextreme.com. Most of their guns are expensive, but if you go with the Classic Army company, they have come out with a line of Sportline guns that are below $200. (http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=364_68_600). The cheapest of the sportlines is the CA M15A4 Sportline Carbine. I have the regular M15A4 Carbine ($308), but my friend just got the sportline and it works really well. (I think they are sold out online at the moment, but they should have them if you go to the airsoftextreme store). I know you said max money was $140, but you could also go with a Sportline that is $159. It’s only $20 extra, and it’s completely worth it to get a Classic Army gun (accurate, shoots fast, won’t break, and if you buy it from the actual store, they’ll repair it for you if it ever does break).
If you want a gun that is not as good or expensive, the other place to look would be shortyusa.com. Under electric guns, you can browse for guns that are $140 and find pretty good guns. Echo is a good company to get a decent and well-priced gun from. For instance, the ECHO 1 M5-A4 AEG Airsoft Gun is $139 and shoots 330 fps full-auto, which would be perfect for shooting cans/squirrels and having wars. (I would not recommend getting a sniper rifle for a war–full-auto electric guns are much more effective.) And getting a hi-cap clip might be a good idea, too.
Well i would suggest the UTG l96/mk96. It is pretty decent stock and since you don’t seem to serious then upgrades won’t be for you.
