the sniper will be much easier to maintain cause its a spring gun but u have really bad rof so i would get the rifle first cause u can do more with it and u can always get the sniper later cause there are alot of snipers for under a 100 dollars that are really good
its personal preference really
i like an automatic rifle peronally
but if you really cant decide here’s what you could do.
buy an electric m14
m14s were originally assault rifles but now they are used as snipers. With an electric you can switch between semi and full auto making it suitable for both sniping and assault if you buy a scope to put on if you need to use it as a sniper. here’s one
comes in black too
Airsoft Sniper rifles are meant for engagements 75 feet or further. They’re mostly upgraded to 400 FPS and higher and loaded with a bit more expensive heavy BB’s (like .28g and higher) so that they’ll be very accurate and reach the enemy pretty fast. However, sniper rifles are bolt-action, so they suffer against groups of enemies armed with automatic weapons. Due to their high FPS rating, airsoft fields made it illegal to fire these rifles at close range because they hurt really badly (I have seen an unfortunate 13-year-old get hit point blank by a WELL L96A1, which left a painful-looking bloody bruise around his stomach). These weapons are kind of easy to maintain; there are no electric parts so no fuse or wires could be blown and break your weapon, however, replacing parts on sniper rifles are different, difficult, rare, and expensive without finding the right places that sell them and repair them.
Airsoft rifles, which I think you mean AEG rifles, are great beginner weapons, and will always be a choice for professionals and the rest. These weapons have the ability to let out a rain of automatic fire, which is very, very useful. They may not be so good during far-range fights, so you may need to get closer. Electric gun weapons may be a bit hard to repair, but parts are pretty common (if you’re getting a pretty popular weapon). Plus you need a battery to power up the weapon, so if it the internals of the battery is melted from over-charging, you need another one.
All in all, get an electric rifle, it’s much better, even though it not shoot as far nor could be simple spring-powered, it is much easier for everyone to use.
I would recommend a airsoft rifle more. Why? Well rifles have distinct advantages. Rifles can be used effectivley in a large variety of ranges from close quarters combat to long range combat, where sniper rifles can really only be used effectivly at long range. Also airsoft rifles are usually selective fire from single shot, three round birst, and full auto. They usually pack just as much of a punch as a sniper rifle and can have scopes such as red dot sites and telescopic sites as well. Good Luck. A few good examples are Tokyo Marui G3, Tokyo Maui P90-Not necessarily a rifle, but performs just like one!
It really depends what you want you’re role to be…I like sniping so I got a spring m14 but i play some games that involve a lot of close quarters combat so i’m going to get an electric m14 with a scope that way i can snipe semi-auto and turn it on full auto when i need it as an assault rifle for close quarters. So you could get a gun like that and then be both a rifleman and sniper (the m14s are great for that) or you could just get a really nice bolt action rifle now or an aeg rifle and hope you adapt your airsoft playing style to the gun.
