I have an airsoft bolt action sniper. It has a pretty high fps with .2g bbs. A while ago, it shot around 300 feet completely straight. Now when i shoot it it goes about half that distance, plus the bullets tend to curve. why? No matter where the hop up is set to, it still does the same thing. i clean my barrel and still the same. PLEASE HELP!!

your barrel is crooked, try this

It needs to be oiled regularly. The seals are dry and the air is blowing by. get some air gun oil and lube up everything. Let it sit and absorb the oil for a couple hours. Then try it again.

What kind of BB’s are you using? If you are using biodegradeable they might be scratching at the inside of the barrel making it inaccurate. Then the next BB would get a ll messed up because of the residue.

I think if you can shoot 300′ you should be able to solve this problem. but anyway.

You need a new hop up bucking most likely. The one you have is probably ripped.

I am definitely no expert here but…
1. Your inner barrel has debris inside it. Or it has somehow warped from being left in extreme temperatures for to long.
2. How long has it been since you’ve had your gun? Look into a new hop-up bucking. If you’ve ever taken your gun apart, you could of easily screwed up the sleeve to. Its hard to know, but I am about 90% sure this is a hop up problem.

Off topic here, 300 feet? You sure your rifle was shooting 300 feet with .20s? Thats a football field, which is by far pushing the limits on how far an airsoft gun could possibly shoot. At least accurately. But oh well…
Edit : Sorry I was writing this and didn’t see hardrockr had already posted. He got it.

Your hop up may be broken. In that case, you will either have to take the gun apart and replace the hop up, or get a new gun.
